Canon sd780is Review

There are a lot of cameras to choose from. Right now I am putting the Canon PowerShot SD780IS  at the top of my list. Why? Because I actually own one. I bought the camera from Amazon in March 2010 and have been totally delighted with it so far. One of the main points I like is that it comes equipped with Canon’s acclaimed Optical Image Stabilizer Technology that automatically detects and corrects camera shake--one of the leading causes of fuzzy or blurred shots. Even when zoomed in, I get steady, crisp, and brilliant images.

And Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer Technology is so convenient to use. It functions perfectly with or without a flash. I take the Canon sd780is with me everywhere to catch those special moments. I have taken several videos of my daughter and they are just as good if not even better than my JVC G-Z MG750 HDD Camcorder. For the size and the price of this camera you cant beat it.

Satisfied Customer

While I prefer to use my DSLR whenever possible, it's not practical to carry it around everywhere that I go with my two young children, so I have always also kept a point-and-shot nearby for candids. My last little Canon Powershot finally bit the dust when my oldest son bent the retractable lens out of place and then tried to shut the camera off, jamming it for good. That was after three and a half years of use and abuse, so I definitely got my money out of it, which is why I went for a Canon again to replace it.

Incredible

Prior to buying the Canon sd780is, I did an extensive amount of research with cameras that would fit my budget. I finally decided on the Canon sd780is. After much testing, it was clear that this little camera packed a punch. The quality of the photos blew me away. I also enjoy the features that allow you to bring out colors depending on lighting situations before you take the photo. The auto feature, which allows the camera to adjust for you accordingly, is excellent for beginners. It zooms 3x...
